Sjogren, a resident of Sauk Rapids, Minnesota, died surrounded by loved ones following an 11-month fight against the disease. Her passing has deeply affected the many students, families, and colleagues whose lives she touched throughout her decades of dedication to youth dance.
For 27 years, Sjogren was part of the Just For Kix family, serving nearly a quarter century as a director. Through her leadership, she helped guide dance programs serving the communities of Princeton, Minnesota and Cambridge, Minnesota, where she became known not only as an instructor but as a mentor who cared deeply about every dancer who stepped into the studio.
Her impact extended far beyond choreography and performance. Students and fellow instructors remembered her for the love, organization, and passion she poured into the programs she led. Generations of dancers grew under her guidance, and many former students continued to credit her with shaping their confidence, discipline, and sense of community.
